llms.txt and JSON-LD for dealers, with templates
The two files that tell AI what your store is. Copy the templates, change the facts, ship them today.
Two plain files carry most of the basic readiness points on our scale: llms.txt (10 points) and the JSON-LD blocks (up to 20). Both are ten-minute jobs once you know the shape. Here are the templates we deploy.
llms.txt
Serve it at https://yourstore.com/llms.txt as plain text. Two paragraphs, then links. No keyword stuffing. Written for a model, which means written for a smart reader in a hurry.

Dealer.com stores already serve a much longer version, essentially the whole site map as text. That works. A focused version works too. What does not work is a 200-word marketing paragraph with no links.

The sameAs array is the entity glue. It tells the engine that the Google, DealerRater, and Yelp profiles are the same store as this site. The department block is the service schema most dealers never ship.
FAQPage JSON-LD
On the FAQ page, one block listing every question and its answer verbatim from the page. Engines quote these directly.
How to check it shipped
Open the page source and search for ld+json. Paste the block into Google's Rich Results Test. Open /llms.txt in a browser and confirm it is plain text, not an HTML 404 page dressed as a 200. Then look your store up on the Readiness Index after the next monthly rescan.
My platform already has schema. Do I need to touch it?
Check whether it includes sameAs, areaServed, and a service department. Most platform defaults ship the name and address and stop there.
Where does the llms.txt go if I cannot edit the root of my site?
Your platform has to serve it. Ask them. If they cannot, PromptGraph supplies the file and the one-line redirect rule most platforms will accept.

PromptGraph runs the readiness checks and the prompt-based visibility test on your rooftop, then deploys the fixes. Free scan first, no card.
