The best AI visibility tools for car dealers in 2026, including ours
A dealer-specific list, organized by what each tool actually does: measure, deploy, or both. We are on it, and we say where we are not the best fit.
Most "best AI visibility tools" lists are written by general SEO platforms and do not know what a rooftop is. This one is dealer-only, sorted by the job the tool does. We include PromptGraph, and we say where another option makes more sense.
First, the three jobs
Measure. Run prompts across engines and report who gets named. Any tool can claim this; the differences are engines covered, repetitions, location handling, and whether you can see the raw answers.
Deploy. Put the missing pieces on the store: schema, llms.txt, AI discovery, inventory feed, MCP endpoint. Most tools do not do this at all.
Track. Rerun the measurement on a schedule and show the change.
The dealer-specific tools
PromptGraph (us). Measures on ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overview, Gemini, and Grok with published repetitions and a geo-pinned lens. Deploys the readiness layer on any website platform, including per-rooftop MCP servers. Tracks monthly. Publishes an absolute readiness score for thousands of stores for free on the Readiness Index. Not the fit if you only want a one-time leaderboard.
CarGenius. Publishes free brand-by-metro AI visibility reports for the largest markets on ChatGPT, AI Mode, and AI Overview, then sells custom reports and services. Strong public content, relative grading, no readiness layer. Full comparison here.
DealerOn OnPrompt. DealerOn's AI visibility product for stores on its platform. The natural choice if you are a DealerOn store and want it inside the platform you already have.
Fullpath. Marketing automation and CDP with GEO content features layered on. Fits groups already running Fullpath for lifecycle marketing.
LightSite AI. AI-focused dealer site and content vendor. Fits a store planning a site rebuild anyway.
General AI visibility platforms dealers see in searches
Profound, Trakkr, LLMrefs, Peec, Otterly. Enterprise or SMB prompt-tracking tools built for brands, not rooftops. Good measurement across engines, no dealer inventory model, no per-store deployment, and pricing that assumes one brand rather than thirty stores.
Yext. Listings management with AI-search reporting. Strong on the entity and third-party profile side. No inventory or agent layer.
How to choose
Ask three questions. Does it measure with repetitions I can see? Does it deploy anything, or only report? Does it work on my platform without a site rebuild? If a tool answers yes to all three and publishes its method, it belongs on your short list. If it answers yes to one, it is a report, and reports do not move numbers on their own.
Is there a free option?
Yes. Every rooftop in our Readiness Index has a free public score, and CarGenius publishes free metro-level visibility reports for its covered brands.
Do I need more than one tool?
Usually not. Listings management plus a dealer-specific visibility and deployment tool covers the ground. Stacking three measurement tools gets you three different numbers and no fix.
